It was in 2012, when our daughter was 9 years old and developed a passion for ice skating that our Lumeez lights came about.
She had tried, as most kids do, many other hobbies, from gymnastics to playing the trumpet, but ice skating became her passion and she was really good at it. Many a weekend was spent at the ice rink – much to our son’s annoyance as, like me, ice skating did not come naturally (his forte is football).
Anyway, I would sit with my son drinking hot chocolate watching my daughter and her Dad gliding around the ice and thought how nice it would be to have your own light show on ice… floating in the dark with beautiful colourful lighting, shining, glowing and dazzling, sprinkling light onto every surface, stealing the attention of anyone who passes by…
We needed a simple but effective solution that would be super easy to fit and super bright.
Lumeez Skate lights are just that – super bright LED lights that are discreetly and easily fitted to the underside of the ice skates using heavy-duty velcro tabs.
